On Site at Glan Gwna Holiday Park
Enviably located in 120 acres of landscaped grounds; including woodland, a lake, streams and the River Seoint running through, you will be hard pushed to find any other place with as peaceful, relaxing and tranquil atmosphere as here.
Fishing
With their own fishing lake and the River Seiont running through the park. Anglers can enjoy carp, trout and salmon fishing all on site.
Additionally there is also a second private fishing lake at nearby Pentir, also owned by Glan Gwna. Here is aimed at the expert anglers with the opportunity to fish for carp, roach, rudd and bream.
All daily fishing permits can be purchased at the Glan Gwna reception. (Please note, a rod licence is required.)
Poolside Bar and Restaurant
The family friendly poolside bar and restaurant is open daytimes and evenings, upto 7 days a week - during main season. With a covered outdoor, dog friendly terrace over-looking the pool, as well as many other outdoor and indoor tables, it is a lovely place to spend time with family and friends. It offers a great choice of home-cooked snacks, lunches and evening meals, with a takeaway option as well as all the usual refreshments from the bar. Bingo with Bill is on every Friday and some high season weekends offer adult and children's entertainment too. There is also a small arcade room, pool table, dart board and foosball table.
Childrens Play Area
There is a small but well equipped gated children's play area on site, which includes; climbing frames, swings, slides and toddler play equipment.
Dog Friendly Site
Outdoor Heated Pool
Open from Whitsun to September and heated to a comfortable temperature, the private outdoor pool is the perfect place to enjoy time with the kids or relax and enjoy the summer weather. The pool is family friendly and always staffed by a pool attendant.
Launderette
Industrial washing machines and dryers are available to use on site, which are either coin operated or they take card aswell. Don't worry about the detergent as this can also be added via the machines if you don't have any with you.
Shop and Cafe
The onsite shop is well stocked with all the usual basics and daily essentials as well as, fresh produce, daily papers and the ever important - ice-cream!
Next door to the shop is a lovely cafe selling pizzas, the essential all day breakfast, Sunday lunch with all the trimmings and even an afternoon tea and so much more, all of which can be ordered for takeaway too.
Woodland Area
Glan Gwna is a brilliant site for dogs with gorgeous walks along the river or round the site as well as a wooded area to let them off lead.
There are dog waste bins dotted all over the site and the shop and bar even sell dog ice-cream too.
(please note - dogs are not allowed in the pool area or inside the poolside bar)
Right at the end of the site is an old railway bridge. Across this bridge is a woodland area that continues to follow the river. It is a fabulous area to let pooches stretch their legs and splash in the river. There are some brilliant den building supplies here too.
