  • Caernarfon Castle- Recognised as one of the greatest buildings of the middle ages and a brute of a fortress, Caernarfon Castle is a fabulous place to explore, learn its history and go back to when Prince Charles was invested here. A brilliant day out.

  • Beaumaris Castle- The unfinished masterpiece of near perfect symmetry, with its own moat. Another castle definitely worth a visit while over on the island of Anglesey.

  • Conwy Castle- Exceptionally well preserved, walk a complete circuit around the battlements of Conwy Castle and don't be afraid to to climb those staircases for the full Conwy experience.

  • Dolbadarn Castle- A small walk away from the car parks of Llanberis and you will find this castle over looking the quarry and Lake Padarn. Mainly used as a prison, (i'll let you read the rest at the site), go and have a wander if you are having a day out at Llanberis.

  • Harlech Castle-Probably the most spectacular setting for any castle crowning a sheer rocky crag and overlooking the dunes far below.

  • Criccieth- On top of a rocky headland between two beaches, a castle to capture the imagination.

  • Bodnant Gardens- With around 80 acres, spanning italianate terraces, meadows, woods, riverside gardens, waterfalls and more than 250 years of horticultural history. It is home to plants from around the world, most famously renowned for its 55 metre laburnum arch, flowering late May too early June. A really magical place to go and just take in its beauty.

  • Penrhyn Castle- Actually an impressive manor house located on the edge of the Snowdonia National Park, visitors are able to view an array of fascinating items from throughout the areas history, as well as 2 small museums and extensive gardens.

  • Plas Newydd House- A garden for every season and views over the Menai Strait, a country house set in gardens, parkland and woodland on the Isle of Anglesey.

  • Aberconwy House- known as a hidden gem on the high street and dating to the early 14th century, Aberconwy is the only surviving medieval merchants house in Conwy.
