  • Llandudno Great Orme Aerial Cable Cars and Tramway- Spectacular views from the top of Anglesey, Puffin Island and the mountains of Snowdonia.

  • The National Slate Museum- Free to enter, take a trip to the past and discover how slate was mined in Llanberis.

  • Crabbing at the back of Caernarfon Castle- grab a bucket and crabbing net from the small shop near the car park and have a ball catching as many crabs as you can. Don't forget the bacon.

  • Piggery Pottery- not far from Willow Falls, a great activity for a wet day where children can create their own pottery.

  • Historic Railways- from the worlds oldest narrow gauge railway, The Ffestiniog Railway, with a 13 1/2 mile journey from Porthmadog to the slate quarry town of Blaenau Ffestiniog. The Welsh Highland Railway is the UK's longest heritage railway and runs for 25 miles from Caernarfon to Porthmadog (stopping at Beddgelert). The Snowdon Mountain railway, another narrow gauge track which takes you from the station at Llanberis 4.7 miles to the summit of Snowdon. There is also the Welsh Highland Heritage Railway that is a short reconstructed heritage railway who's main station is in Porthmadog and Llanberis Lake Railway, which takes you on a 5 mile journey alongside Lake Padarn.
